Current tachographs count 5 seconds or over drive time as 1 minute. But now the resolution of activity time has changed from 1 minute to 1 second. This enables the last minute of an activity to be rounded down when it’s under 30 seconds. It also enables the vehicle to be briefly moved during a break time, provided the operation does not take more than 29 seconds.
