Connecting the vehicle to a smartphone app. This feature gives the driver instant status information and control of the vehicle remotely. They can check the current fuel level, battery status, light status, and more: all from a smartphone or tablet. It also shows the door lock status and it gives immediate push notifications if the burglar alarm is triggered. The heater or cooler can be started instantly or by setting a timer. MyTruck is available on IOS and Android devices.

This technology lets the workshop see information about engine, mileage and fuel consumption. Technicians can also get a view of diagnostic trouble codes and monitor the status of crucial components like the brake pads, clutch, and battery. Keeping this kind of check in place reduces unplanned stops. It also means the workshop is fully prepared when the truck arrives, putting it back on the road in the fastest possible time. The truck’s connectivity also means that, as soon as new features and updates happen, they can be delivered the Telematics Gateway and used immediately.

Volvo Action Service On-Call – just push the button

An unplanned stop in the middle of nowhere? One push of the VAS On-Call button and the driver will be connected to an operator who speaks his or her language (the truck checks the nationality of the card in the digital tachograph). The operator knows the exact location and the chassis ID and can pass on any diagnostic trouble codes to the technician. And - just like that - help will be on its way.
