The Volvo VNX at work

Nothing is typical in heavy-haul transportation. As a result, every VNX is custom-built. Approved Gross Combination Weight Ratings span from 110,000 to 160,000 pounds. Peak ratings can exceed 225,000 pounds. Optional steer axles, lift axles, tridem drive axles, and longer fifth-wheel sliders complete the picture - whatever the requirement.

The I-Shift with crawler gears lets you start steeper, pull heavier loads and reach the destination faster without ever compromising on efficiency and comfort. It puts you in full control of the formidable engine power – even at very low speed, facilitating manoeuvres like starting and connecting trailers. There’s also an option of a rear axle ratio that delivers excellent fuel economy while cruising at higher speeds.
