Setting a new standard

Setting a new standard

The 1970s was a decade of refinement in the truck industry. More European manufacturers were beginning to fit their trucks with tilt-cabs (a move pioneered by Volvo in 1962) and turbocharged engines (Volvo had been the first back in 1954). The horsepower rating of engines also grew, resulting in increased average speeds.

Now hold your breath and dig deeper into the different Volvo trucks of the '70s.
