Volvo Trucks offers a full range of medium to heavy duty trucks. More than 95% of the trucks produced are in the heavy weight class, above 16 tonnes. The company’s offer also includes a wide range of services providing total transport solutions ensuring truck up-time, driver productivity as well as safety and fuel efficiency. Other services include among others financing, leasing, insurance, IT solutions and logistical operations.

Volvo Trucks and safety
Safety has been a core value for Volvo trucks since the company started in 1927. Volvo Trucks is the world leader in both active and passive safety, continuously providing the market with new technologies and systems improving traffic safety. Some examples are the three point safety belt, ABS breaks, Electronic Stability Program, Driver Alert Support and factory fitted alcolocks. 
Since 1969, Volvo Trucks Accident Research Team is investigating accidents involving a truck. The team provides important input to the company’s safety work.

Volvo Trucks is working actively to reduce the environmental impact of it’s operations as well as the impact of road transports in general. Being a forerunner in developing fuel efficient engines and exploring technologies such as hybrids and methane diesel the company drives progress towards sustainable transport solutions.
Volvo Trucks also has focus on its own operations. Substantial energy savings in production has been accomplished. The Ghent plant in Belgium is already CO2-neutral and all major plants are to be C02-neutral.
