These tips are not fully detailed. Please read the Pro/E manuals regarding how config files are handled.
Put these files in a location reachable from all the client machines. Unpack both archive files to a separate directory named e.g. "volvosetup" or "prosetup". It can be an advantage to keep Volvo specific files separated from the Pro/E installation.
Pro/Engineer are mainly distributed and run on UNIX within Volvo AB. This is reflected in some configuration files.
Configuration files, such as: config.pro, config.sup, menu_def.pro and config.win should be located under "proe_loadpoint/text" to be read in on startup. In UNIX you can do it as softlinks but in Windows the files has to be copied into the directory.
All paths in config.pro and config.sup must be changed to reflect your installation of formats and configuration files.
Within Volvo, Pro/Engineer is started with a separate script that adds different lines to config.pro depending on Your hardware and geographic location. That script is not distributed here.
This is why You manually have to add certain rows of text to config.pro after downloading a new package from this site.
Users against Volvo Trucks add these lines:
GRAPHICS ??? (E.g. OPENGL)
PRO_EDITOR_COMMAND ??? (E.g. notepad)
Also add all the text from the textfile vtc_param_mapkeys located under the directory "text".
