For additional functionality, the Volvo FMX also features a powerful tow hook, headlamp mesh protection and new anti-slip steps just to name a few examples besides a higher approach angle for negotiating rough undulations of the underfoot .” says Somnath Bhattacharjee. “The new Volvo FMX literally breathes mining & construction reflecting its capabilities, inside and out.”
Designed for superior driveline performance – New Volvo FMX inspired by Drivers
The new Volvo FMX is based on the very successful FM platform, which is well proven in high performance demanding applications eg mining & construction. New FMX brings many new features and those features are developed based on the feedback from Volvo Truck drivers. Drivers can look forward to exceptional driveline performance with power and efficiency of the 440 hp13-litre engine . The Volvo FMX440 Tipper is fitted with a fully synchronized 14-speed splitter range gearbox with higher torque level of 2200 NM matched perfectly to the engine characteristics.
