In the new millennium, demands on trucks and truck transport will be many. Although good transport efficiency and low transport costs remain the prime objectives, safety, ergonomics, comfort and environmental characteristics are all high-priority considerations.
The diesel engine trucks will continue to be the most flexible and efficient transport tool, but new engine types will complement the diesel engine for special tasks.
