SmartWay

Volvo knows reducing fuel consumption has huge benefits. Increasing the fuel efficiency of Volvo trucks saves money for truck owners and reduces their environmental impact. Volvo Trucks North America is a partner with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in the SmartWay® tractor program. Volvo developed a comprehensive package of SmartWay components for the Volvo VN to deliver high fuel efficiency and low emissions. Volvo VNs ordered with this set of components are eligible to receive EPA's Certified SmartWay designation. This identifies a truck as being extremely fuel efficient with a lowered carbon footprint, and having low emissions.

• Low-rolling resistance tires
