The Volvo FMX

Everything about the Volvo FMX says “heavy duty”. Specially designed for heavy construction work, like in quarries and mines, its domain is where other trucks fear to tread or simply cannot go. There’s nothing fancy about this truck. But that doesn’t mean that the FMX isn’t being heavy on the details. From the front towing beam handling 25 tonnes, to the driveline and fuel-efficient I-shift gear box, to the easy to replace and mesh protected headlights (optional) this truck was built to handle the worst conditions on a daily basis. Six cylinders providing up to 500 hp leaves you with power to spare. We recommend it for the hardest, harshest working conditions where only the strongest survive.

Axles for every occasion

Heavy loads. Demanding terrain. Construction duties impose tough demands on axles and bogies. The Volvo FMX comes with an extensive range of axle configurations that make it easy to tailor the truck to even the heaviest of haulage jobs. All so you never have to risk getting stuck in the mud.

A chassis to rely on

The Volvo FMX chassis is designed to withstand extreme conditions. The U-shaped side-members and cross-members give maximum strength at low weight, whilst the bogie’s V-stay and reaction rod are dimensioned to handle considerable forces.

FMX – with extra everything

To make your Volvo FMX even more special you can customise it using everything from heated rear-view mirrors to a high-class audio system with mp3 interface. You will find some of the best options in five packages for the Volvo FMX: Driving, Visibility, Audio System, Personal Safety and Off Road FMX.
