Doha Marketing Services Company W.L.L. is a group company in Doha, Qatar under the Dubai-based Al Futtaim banner and Qatari investors. Previously known as Hamad & Mohammad Al Futtaim, the company has been established in 1965, and in 1995 was launched under its present company name.

The newly inaugurated Volvo Trucks Division boasts spacious facilities and Volvo-trained staff from sales to aftermarket service. The Sales and Service Centre, located at Street 48, Industrial Area, Doha, caters to clients also for parts requirements and a mobile workshop is likewise available for service-on-the-go.

Setting up Volvo Trucks as the newest division of DOMASCO required lengthy regional study to ensure that the market needs and demands were met in full. Experts from Sweden together with their counterparts in Qatar conducted local surveys, assessing the specific conditions and requirements.

"When we started this project the main concern was to bring the right truck for the extraordinary operation conditions in the local environment" revealed Amjad Juma, Sales and Marketing Manager for DOMASCO-Volvo Trucks.

"We worked jointly with VTC team and visited various truck operation sites in Qatar. Varying work conditions were observed and recorded: road condition in quarries, sand wash factories; local road regulations, climate conditions, operating hours and interviewing drivers and foremen on site to know exactly about the difficulties they are facing in day to day operations" he continued.
