The Driver’s Lifeline

If the seat belt were an option, we would give it away for free. This is simply because the three-point safety belt is the single most effective protection system we can provide: a firm and reliable restraint system that keeps the human body in place when the truck's speed is suddenly reduced or when the vehicle rolls over.

The three-point seat belt is fitted as standard to both driver and passenger seats in all Volvo trucks.

Proper safety belt use:
1. The lap belt should be placed over the hips - as low as possible - not over the abdomen.
2. Make sure the shoulder belt lies on the shoulder and over the chest.
3. Do not leave any slack - the belt should sit (comfortably) tight.

An alert light on the dashboard reminds you to buckle up if the belt is not on.
