Own your safety by recognizing

the risks

Traffic might seem familiar, even routine, but risks often hide in plain sight. In this section, you’ve explored everyday situations where small choices can make a big difference.

Here’s what smart road users do.

Stay visible and alert around turning vehicles.  Never assume others have seen you.

Avoid crossing between cars.  If drivers can’t see you, they can’t react.

Communicate clearly in crowded streets.  A look and a gesture can help prevent confusion.

Don’t rely on green lights alone.  Always check what others are doing before stepping out.
