Here at Governmental Sales we strive to be a leader when it comes to supplying vehicles to governments. That is why we do not only provide vehicles; the Volvo ILS back-up and support provide military users with ultimate comfort based on a well-functioning service network throughout the world.

Specially adapted vehicles
The truck models that we supply are the Volvo FL, FE, FM and FH and in addition the military range of vehicles from Renault Truck Defence (part of the Volvo Group). The driveline and chassis components are standard issue components, thus identical with the parts and components used for civilian trucks. Meeting typical dual-use requirements is therefore no big challenge for our trucks. With 4-door crew cabs, high ground clearance, military EMC compliance, all-wheel drive, automatic gearboxes and 650+ horse power engines already in place, for example, we can put greater focus on the special equipment, such as ballistic protection and mine protection as well as various war gas protection systems.
We also provide trucks for different rescue applications such as fire-fighting trucks and airport crash tenders.

Today's Euro 4 & 5 engines, the I-Shift gearbox and other vital components that have been introduced in recent years put Volvo's drivelines on a world-class level. Together with carefully selected bodybuilders, we do everything in our power to ensure that the vehicles meet the rigorous requirements made by military and other government users on complete, reliable vehicles from Volvo that have the very highest quality and performance.

Volvo Action Service
A vehicle that cannot complete its task can have disastrous consequences, not least on international rescue and peacekeeping missions. Volvo Action Service reduces the risk of having to wait for a long period of time during a breakdown thanks to available, multi-lingual personnel who are on call round the clock, 365 days a year. They have the capacity to immediately carry out emergency vehicle repairs and can, among many other services, ensure that the right parts are on hand. Volvo is currently represented in more than 130 countries, with over 2,200 authorised service workshops all over the world.

In step with ISP regulations
All activities carried out by our Governmental Sales Operation are controlled and approved by the National Inspectorate of Strategic Products (ISP), which controls the Swedish export of military equipment and so-called dual-use products.
